Final evening we went and noticed the brand new Angel Muniz (Estudio Quitasueno) flick, “Ladrones a Domicilio”. It was one other fairly spectacular Dominican film, this yet one more adventurous than earlier efforts reminiscent of “Macho de Mujer”, “Sanky Panky” and others…I’d liken it to a “Lock, inventory, 2 smoking barrels” sort deal, simply with some Dominican humor and taste.

Manolo Ozuna takes the lead function as Bruno, the struggling college instructor who has been instructed that his daughter won’t be given monetary help, refusing to ship her to state college, his “compadre” finds him a job as a late evening safety van driver to assist make ends meet. The entire deal seems to be a setup with the proprietor of the safety firm intent on robbing the cash that was within the van.

The story follows because the theft goes incorrect, the proprietor of the safety firm’s son, (Bruno’s scholar on the college), kidnapped and a complete load of enjoyable occurring in between together with a deliberate journey to Puerto Rico through “yola”. The movie ends with the cash being shared between a senator, choose, basic, chief of police and the safety firm proprietor…typical of what may occur in actuality!

For me the funniest scene was when a innocent wanting Haitian man provides Bruno and the others to vary a flat tire on an ambulance they’d counseled earlier within the movie, in change for a carry to Higuey. Bruno thinks he is an sincere man searching for assist, as an alternative the Haitian seems to be Gregorio Brown (prison profugo) and holds up Bruno and crew at gun level!

All in all nice movie, effectively value going to see or purchase the DVD when it comes out, however please purchase an official one, not a bootleg! Additionally you may perceive higher the movie in case you converse Spanish because the humor does not essentially translate on the sub-titles.

Angel Muniz if you’re studying this, nice job! Look me up for a job in your subsequent movie!
